Excitement, Pomp, Glamour Characterise Prophet Elvis Mbonye’s Birthday Celebrations

Yesterday, the leader of Zoe Ministries, Prophet Elvis Mbonye celebrated his 45th birthday in a glamorous and well attended event at the brand new Zoe Grounds in Kigo Lweza, along the Entebbe Express Highway.

This was the first time in two years that most remnants were able to attend in person as the previous two were celebrated virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Several local dignitaries joined the celebration physically while most of the prophet’s followers and well wishers that could not make it attended virtually on his social media pages.

The celebrations saw many people from different parts of the world in attendance. This mega event kicked off with a performance from Limitless Fellowship from Nairobi, Kenya, the Zoe Melodies (Prophet Mbonye’s worship team), Zoe dancers’ crew and the gospel music gladiator Edwin Ruyonga.

Prophet Elvis Mbonye gave a brief message before cutting the cake to mark the celebrations stressing the importance of the day. “If I was not born, this whole thing (the prophetic office in place) wouldn’t be here”.

The Prophet went ahead to narrate his first encounter with Jesus, “I remember when I was young I used to encounter many things in the night. My nights were always encounters with the supernatural. I remember one of those experiences, while resting on my bed Jesus Himself walked in. I had never seen Him but I knew it was Jesus; He walked straight to me and held my hand and we ran through the air, we went to some place and I knew this was my place and now I know it was called crystal waters and then He brought me back.”

The man of God continued to say, “First forwardly the most important day was at home when I encountered the Holy Ghost, I was in the sitting room with my sisters. That’s when Jesus told Mbonye that he had been ordained to be a Prophet. Since these experiences the Prophet said that he started getting revelations and seeing things in the spirit which would baffle the minds of many.

The celebrations were climaxed with the cake cutting and performances from Zoe melodies.
